Margaret R. Snyder
(Nee Doolan) Age 90. Died April 30, 2006 in her home surrounded by her family. Loving mother of her seven daughters, Mary (Joseph) Legan, Dorothy (Robert) Pusateri, Louise Snyder, Barbara Babler, Elizabeth (David) Ruelle, Jane Snyder Stinson and Kathleen (Mark) Ehrlich. Margaret is also survived by her sister, Sr. Dorothy Doolan O.P., 16 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Snyder; sisters, Mary Wesley and Jeanne Daniels; brother, Frater William Doolan CSSR and a grandson, Mark Babler. Margaret was born September 23, 1915 to Theresa Lynch and Henry Doolan in Stone Bank, WI. She resided her entire life in the Oconomowoc area. Margaret worked as an independent insurance agent in the county for 50 years. Margaret served as president of the Waukesha Town Mutual Insurance Co. She was an active member of St. Jerome Parish and sang in the choir for many years. She tutored at the Adult Literacy Center in Milwaukee for 20 years. Throughout her life, Margaret was devoted to her family. Her love of music was shared readily with family and friends. In addition, she loved to golf, travel, work in her garden and participate in any "social" gathering. Everyone who knew this sweet Irish woman was touched by her strength, courage and sense of humor. Her little Irish eyes and ready smile will be deeply missed. Memorials may be made to Sinsinawa Dominicans, Redemptorist Fathers, the Oconomowoc Regional Cancer Center or the Adult Literacy Center. Friends may visit Wednesday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at St. Jerome Catholic Church 211 S. Main St., Oconomowoc.
