Directory Issues
I currently have it set so when you fill out the
form, the information is emailed to me and I go in and manually add it to the
directory.
Rather than have everyone's personal information on
a public page (which could be picked up by automated scanners that go out
looking for things like email addresses) I store it in a private directory
(which automated scanners don't have access to) and have it 'pop up' when
someone clicks on your name. (The information isn't private;
it's available to anyone who clicks on your name, but it won't be picked up by
automated scanners.)
There are a couple of problems here:

There's a delay for you to see your information
after you've entered it (you have to wait until I have the chance to enter
it).

Some people are finding the information doesn't
appear when they click on the name. I'm guessing this is because of 'pop
up blockers' which are becoming more common (if that's the case, you can set
your browser to allow pop ups from www.cooney71.com).
I'll give some more thought to how we handle the
directory. If you have suggestions, let me know.
